Manis on Monday!

I cannot believe Thanksgiving is over! The holidays are flying right by us and before we know it 2014 will be here! However, I have a feeling the cold spell coming upon us this week will slow time down at least for a little while. 🙂

Last week was busy with baking and cleaning but I also had a few last minute nail appointments as well, which is great! I feel like I haven’t been super busy with nails lately so I always look forward to seeing my few friends and …

Some Fun, Stylin’ Holiday Nails!

Check out these cute nails!

My friend Nicole scheduled her Thanksgiving appointment and said she wants silver, gray, black, and white colors but I get to choose the design. I had a couple days to get ready which I’m not sure is a good thing because I got slightly obsessive about it! Eek! I spent hours on Instagram looking for those colors and I really couldn’t find anything I loved…so I got out the sketch pad and went to work. 🙂

I told Nicole when I started to reign me …

November Nail Art Challenge Californails

I’m doing the Californails Nail Art Challenge for November and just thought I’d share my gallery so far! 🙂

Day 1 was Movember and I missed it 🙁
Day 2 was Fox Nails which I had a lot of fun with and want to do again!
Day 3 was Nature Nails and I just left my nails natural partly due to laziness and partly to show everyone how well they are doing thru my pregnancy 🙂
Day 4 was Black and White and I got Tons of compliments on them!
Day 5 was …

Fall Maroon and Turquoise Nails

Just wanted to share these cute nails!

These are Jessica’s Gelish mani–we used Gelish Forbidden Love, Need A Tan, and Jetset with Youngnails Mani-Q Green 101. This color combo inspired me to do my own….

I used my favorite maroon polish Essie Skirting The Issue and China Glaze Too Yacht To Handle. The gold studs are from Sally Beauty. I can’t stop staring at my nails…I think maroon/dark red is my favorite nail color of all time! 🙂

Thanks for reading! I have some interesting thoughts going through my head for tomorrow’s post! …

Lincoln Park After Dark GelColor with gold Aztec designs

Happy Monday!

It was Tennille’s turn to get her nails done today 🙂 I hope she’s not getting sick of Lincoln Park cause we’ve used it the last three times….

I love how LPAD applies in GelColor. I flooded a couple nails today and it was taking me forever to get it off the cuticles but usually it goes on flawlessly!

I did three coats of color then wiped off the sticky layer with alcohol and hand painted the gold designs with Essie Good As Gold. These would be super cute with …

NYC Nails!

My buddy is going on a sisters trip to New York City this weekend and I gotta admit I was really nervous about getting her nails just right! The Big Apple is a Big Deal! 🙂

I love what we came up with though…simple and chic…

We used CND Brisa Lite Smoothing Gel to add strength and then topped it off with 3-4 coats of Gelish Plum and Done. I hand painted the silver chevron stripes with CND Shellac Silver Chrome. I think it would have been super cute to do gray …

A Fun Edgy Look for Halloween!

I love how these turned out for my gorgeous buddy Tennille! She wanted a Halloween look but not necessarily too “Halloweeny” 🙂

I used all OPI Gelcolors. The ring fingers are Alpine Snow and I did the skulls with a fine tip Sharpie. I think next time I might use black gelpolish or black polish with a fine striper brush.

The ombré nails are Suzi and the Seven Dusseldorfs with Lincoln Park After Dark on top. It was super easy to do too! I just did two coats of the …

Neon Pink, Black, White & Silver Nails

My friend and client Jessica went to Las Vegas last weekend and needed some fun nails to accompany her! I love the results…and I thought it was fitting they were inspired by the awesome nail salon Polished Nails Las Vegas.

Click here to check out Polished’s Website!

Here are the nails that we came up with–we used gel polish from Gelish and OPI. I hand painted the stripes and dots and used a metallic silver Sharpie as well for accent. I used silver studs on the pinkie and index fingers …

Vintage Roses for Fall

I got the chance to do my cute friend April’s nails today and I had so much fun chatting with her and coming up with these fun nails! She’s a hairstylist (an amazing hairstylist) and pretty much just said, “You’re the nail tech…take it away!” I showed her a few pics from Instagram and we both agreed on a vintage vibe that is perfect for this brisk fall weekend!

We used Gelish Black Shadow for the black nails and one coat of OPI GelColor Did You ‘Ear About Van Gogh …

Hippie Chic Nails

I don’t know why it’s taken me so long to do some dreamcatcher nails because every time I see them on Instagram I love them! Maybe because they scared me just a little…there is a lot of little tiny lines and circles involved which is always tedious…but I had a feeling my buddy Tennille would love to sport some fancy hippie chic nails and I was right! 🙂

We used Lincoln Park After Dark in OPI GelColor and OPI Did You ‘Ear About Van Gogh in GelColor on her ring finger. …
