I don’t know why it’s taken me so long to do some dreamcatcher nails because every time I see them on Instagram I love them! Maybe because they scared me just a little…there is a lot of little tiny lines and circles involved which is always tedious…but I had a feeling my buddy Tennille would love to sport some fancy hippie chic nails and I was right! 🙂
We used Lincoln Park After Dark in OPI GelColor and OPI Did You ‘Ear About Van Gogh in GelColor on her ring finger. I hand painted most of the dreamcatcher with a black stripe rite striper and then did the little beads with gel polish and the feathers with brown acrylic paint. I did the arrows and the subtle gold touches on the dreamcatcher with a gold metallic Sharpie…I wish I had hand drawn the arrow with a tiny striping art brush and Essie Good As Gold. I think it would look cuter if the lines were thinner and sharper. But they are still cute right!?! I used the Sharpie because the dreamcatcher was time consuming and as much as I know Tennille loves sitting in my hard wooden kitchen chair I knew she had people to see and places to be so I cut a little corner to save a little time. 🙂 Oh, we did a gold glitter fade with Gelish Golden Treasure on her middle finger and thumb to give it a “hippie glam” effect! I love love love them!
Here is a cute little hippie ensemble to go with the hippie nails…
Tennille went to the Springdale Music Festival this last weekend and she said it was awesome! My awesome in-laws Jill and Kurt wanted me and Jason and Westin to come out but my husband is working hard and burning the midnight oil trying to get his college degree done so we stayed home…next year we will definitely have to go! I am trying to talk Jason into letting us buy an older camper and fixing it up into something cute like this…which would be the perfect accommodations for a music festival! 🙂 Be sure to click on the camper and check out how adorable it is inside and out! Everything Rhonna Farrer creates is a work of art!
