Alpine Snow By OPI GelColor French Ombre

These beautiful nails belong to my beautiful friend Dena who just got home from Hawaii :-))) lucky girl!

We use gel push on her and she usually gets at least four weeks wear time–she has THE best nails EVER!

I applied a base coat, cured it, then painted a generous amount of Alpine Snow on all five finger tips. I then sponged off around the nail bed with a makeup sponge and cured two minutes. I repeated another coat of alpine snow, cured, and then sponged in a generous coat …

Message in a bottle…or a message in a blog….to my previous clients and friends

Consider this my first message in a bottle 🙂

To all my previous clients and co-workers…I miss you. Not a day goes by that I don’t think about you. It’s been over three weeks since my last day working at the salon, yet it seems like just yesterday and years ago all at the same time.

Thank for for giving me the opportunity to serve you for as long as I did…I am so greatful for your patronage.

OPI Oz Collection–When Monkey’s Fly, I Theodora You, Glints of Glinda–with hand painted stripes and Art Club studs over Brisa Lite Smoothing Gel

Oz Collection by OPI Nail Art

My beautiful sister Mandy stopped by yesterday for a real life official nail appointment. This is an amazing accomplishment for us because we constantly make nail appointments for her that we never keep due to kids schedules or random life interferences. We painted her nails last week and they actually lasted fairly well though, all thanks to the wonderful product Seche Vite!

After she had removed her own polish because I didn’t want to mess up my new navy and mustard yellow mani 🙂 …

Blue, Yellow, & White with Chevron and Studs–Suzi Says Feng Shui, The It Color, Alpine Snow

Blue, yellow, & white with Chevron and studs

I used OPI Suzi Says Feng Shui on my pinky and pointer fingers, OPI The It Color on my middle finger, OPI Alpine Snow on my ring finger, and China Glaze Angel Wings on my Thumb. I placed Art Club Nail Art White Gems in a chevron pattern over The It Color and hand painted the yellow chevron stripes with a Color Club Yellow Striper. The yellow chevron was not very difficult I think because yellow over white is very forgiving. …

DIY At Home Facial–Aztec Healing Clay and Brown Sugar Honey Scrub

Step 1: DIY Brown Sugar and Honey Scrub

The first step of my DIY facial is my brown sugar and honey scrub. This is very easy to make–you simply mix brown sugar and honey together to create a sticky paste. I do my face scrub in the shower because it is messy and sticky and I like to use it on my arms and legs and chest and feet…pretty much anywhere that needs a good exfoliation! I did a previous post about this scrub–you can read about it here

Step 2: Aztec …
