Industrial Vintage Glam!

Two of my favorite bloggers teamed up and the result was so amazing I decided to recreate a very small “rendition” of it on my nails 🙂 I absolutely am obsessed with home decor and I actually get a lot of my nail ideas from decorating color schemes and finishes…I think it’s important to find inspiration from all aspects of life in everything that we do!

My friend Kendra is headed up to Pendelton, Oregon for the world’s largest party…I mean rodeo! I’m so excited for her! She is going with her dad which I think is so awesome 🙂 She texted me and wanted some cute nails for the rodeo…I think we came up with a great combo for the big weekend!

I hope Kendra doesn’t mind me showing everyone this…but she’s a little bit of a nail biter…so we sculpt out her nail beds with acrylic for length. I then do the colors with gel …

SunValleyTek sent me this UV light to try out and review and I can honestly report for the money it’s a great light and I would highly recommend it! They shipped it extremely quickly, Flynn was very nice to work with, and the light is actually really great quality! I’ve bought two other lights on Amazon in the past that were cheaply made and did not hold up but I can tell this light is going to hold up great. And it’s priced under $40 on Amazon!

I signed up for a fun little Crossfit competition tonight…and I’m a nervous wreck!!! I didn’t do the Crossfit Open this year because it scares the sh$% out of me and I can’t think straight for six weeks. The only consolation I have about this competition is it’s only two days…it’s only two days…it’s only two days. I can do this…I can do this…I can do this…

Recycled Mani!

I bet you’re wondering what the heck a recycled mani is…well when I did my Ikat Mani

I did the nail art over my existing gel polish mani with Striperite polish, which worked perfectly. Honestly, I am ready for a new set of nails after a few days…I think a week is the longest I’ve gone with the same color on my nails…and it was this mani here as a matter of fact 🙂 I just realized how dry my skin looks in that picture…obviously I haven’t been wearing my cleaning …

Cashmere Bathrobe is an absolutely wonderful gray polish that I am in love with! It’s a stormy charcoal gray with the most subtle red sparkle. I grabbed the Essie Fall 2013 Sample Cube while I was at SalonCentric this morning and am swatching two colors today and two Friday. Let me just begin by saying these colors are fabulous! Both went on super smooth and almost opaque with one coat. For The Twill Of It will be a great color to use for stamping, much like Good As Gold is.
