I brought my dear little Grandma home from her assisted living place yesterday because she was in a dire need of a manicure which got me to thinking I should write out a few simple instructions for a quick, easy at home manicure! It makes such a fun little gift and everyone loves getting their nails cleaned up–even my husband was jealous of Grandma last night! 🙂

I signed up for a fun little Crossfit competition tonight…and I’m a nervous wreck!!! I didn’t do the Crossfit Open this year because it scares the sh$% out of me and I can’t think straight for six weeks. I did the nail art over my existing gel polish mani with Striperite polish, which worked perfectly. Honestly, I am ready for a new set of nails after a few days…I think a week is the longest I’ve gone with the same color on my nails…and it was this mani here as a matter of fact 🙂 I just realized how dry my skin looks in that picture…obviously I haven’t been wearing my cleaning …

I grabbed the Essie Fall 2013 Sample Cube while I was at SalonCentric this morning and am swatching two colors today and two Friday. Let me just begin by saying these colors are fabulous! Both went on super smooth and almost opaque with one coat. For The Twill Of It will be a great color to use for stamping, much like Good As Gold is.

Today is the 24th of July for most of parts of the world but in Utah it’s Pioneer Day or Utah Day! I had a brief thought of how I would like to do my nails for Pioneer Day but then quickly realized my “dirt under the nails freshly mowed grass” look fit the day quite well!
