Operation Valentines Day

I think Valentines Day nails might be some of my favorite nail designs! So in honor of my love for nails about love I will be overloading my blog, Instagram, and Facebook with hearts and kisses and roses and all things Valentines Day!

Here’s my first mani and I really love it. It’s a lot prettier in real life. I just couldn’t capture the colors and diamonds and glitter on camera the way I would like so just trust me on this one. 🙂

Diamonds are a girls best friend!

Pink, gold and diamonds=perfection!

I used CND Vinylux Pink Bikini polish for all the nails and then dotted the chain of the necklace on the ring finger with Essie Good As Gold. The heart gem I’ve had forever and rarely use them. I don’t know why because they are super cute. I have so many products I buy and never use…

The middle finger is gold hex glitter just kinda piled on until I got a heart shape going. I will say hex glitter is so much easier to work with on gel polish than regular polish. The base coat kept drying when I was placing the glitters so I had to keep adding more to get the glitter pieces to stick. With gel polish I just put a thin coat of clear top coat down, place all the glitters, cure, and do some more top coats till I can’t feel any loose glitter edges.

The thumb, index, and pinky finger gems are from the same gem collection as the heart gem. I bought them at CosmoProf a while back–I think they are CinaPro nail art products. I like the long pear shaped gems at the cuticle because I think it elongates your nail bed.

Here’s a cute outfit from Polyvore to go along with this mani 🙂

Oh and my dream Valentines Date would probably be to go somewhere on the ocean, eat an amazing dinner with an amazing bottle of red wine, listen to a great musician, try to get my husband to dance with me, and then get a room at a really nice hotel with a jacuzzi and fireplace 🙂 But I would gladly settle for dinner at the Painted Pony as well…a trip to the Bellagio in Vegas would be nice too 🙂

My dream Valentines Date would be to spend the night at a Parisian hotel, dinner at the Eiffel Tower, and lots of good champagne!

If wishes came true, I would be spending Valentines Day with the man of my dreams in NYC! Dinner, dancing, The Plaza! If only :))))))

My Dream Valentine’s Date would be to reserve a few days (or a week) at the Sycamore Mineral Springs Resort and Spa located at California’s Central Coast in Avilla, CA. It was built at the turn of the century, as a healing asylum (that’s what they called them back then). It is located on 100 acres of forest land next to the coast. There are turquoise wooden step meandering up into the woods that branch off into little private, open-air mineral baths. You feel like you are up in the trees with all these birds and the foliage is so thick, that alone provides a feeling of seclusion and privacy. They also have a waterfall lagoon and a meditation labyrinth. Each room has a private balcony with your own, private mineral tub on it. It is truly a healing place.
They have an excellent restaurant right on site plus you can rent bikes and take a path, going over the road, then meandering down to a little, private beach.
They off a number of spa experiences, private massages (ahhhh) as well as different physical daily workouts in their yoga dome; I did my first Pilates there.
I would love to just drop out of my busy life for a week and putter around the San Luis Obispbo area; driving up the coast a little further to explore the sea coast towns along the way. This, to me, is THE perfect Valentine’s Day Date!

That sounds heavenly Mary! I would add in a wine tasting day as well because the winery’s around the area are amazing but I know that’s not quite your cup of tea 🙂 I hope your dream comes true one day!
