I was racking my brain, as usual, trying to decide what theme I wanted to go with on Cassidee’s nails and finally realized that I’ve never done an Ikat mani. Which was perfect because I am in LOVE with Ikat! I want to wear it on my nails and my clothes as well as decorate my whole house in Ikat! Over the top? Probably…but a good trend will only last so long so why not get the most out of it?!? 🙂

I used gel polish for this look on Cassidee but have to admit if I were to do another Ikat gelpolish mani I would probaly use Striprite paints for the Ikat pattern and do two thick top coats to protect the acrylic. I used OPI Alpine Snow for the Ikat print on this mani and felt like it bled too much, which is still cute and looks a lot like a tie-dyed Ikat mani, but I tend to like a distinct crisp Ikat effect, so I did a tutorial on myself to show the differences. 🙂
