Everyone keeps asking me what I will do with all my free time now that I am not working at the salon anymore so I thought I would compile a list for them. That way I can just tell them, visit my blog and it will describe my day in detail. But just to clarify, I LOVED working at the salon! I love to work in general and earn money. But I have always considered being a stay at home mom a serious job–if I look at it like a job it keeps me motivated to be productive. And I love being productive! Anyway, check out my list. 1. I will take this cute little dog for walks. She sits on the couch staring out the window all day long. And she’s getting slightly overweight.

2. My son’s room is a disaster and he won’t sleep in it because he says it’s a “baby” room. I need to redo it and make it a big boy room and get him to sleep in that big boy bed all by himself. He turns 7 in May so hopefully his big boy room will be ready for him by then!

3. This shelf needs help majorly! It’s in our laundry room and the window sill is so pretty when I put a little pot of flowers in it…but there is not room for anything right now because we’ve turned it into a junk shelf. I have a small hall cabinet that is filled with random junk right now that will house this little fun mess of stuff, out of sight, out way.

4. This hall closet has been a mess ever since we moved into our house 3 years ago. It’s become even messier when I moved all my nail stuff home. I don’t know how or where I’m going to put everything, but I’ll be working on getting this cute little closet organized in all my free time. 🙂

5. My laundry room got a little more cluttered with the arrival of all my nail stuff as well. I would love to have my laundry look like one of those amazing, cute, organized laundry rooms from Pinterest. Even though my house is tiny, I have tons of storage cabinets, including about 15 in my laundry room. They all need to be sorted through and organized. I’m going to have to make a separate list dedicated to organizing my cabinets.

I will have a Pinterest worthy laundry room!

6. I actually will be working hard at home on my website, www.chicnailstyles.com. Maybe you’ve heard of it!?! We are going to add tutorials, videos, and a shopping cart soon. I’m super excited about this! A little bit more excited than my soon to be Pinterest laundry room!

I will create an amazing site dedicated to nails, beauty, fashion, and life!

7. I don’t blame him, but Westin spends way too much time on the couch watching TV and playing video games. He LOVES playing outside but hates to be by himself. We are going to be spending as much time as possible outside in all my free time! We can go to Town Square, go hiking up in the Red Cliffs Parkway (which could kill two birds with one stone if we take Sophie dog with us!), playing at all the awesome parks in town, and learning how to play baseball. I signed him up for Little League this year. He isn’t happy about it, but every kid needs to know how to throw and catch and hit a baseball right? Who knows, maybe he will go on to play for either the Yankees or the Cubs, mom and dad’s favorite teams. 🙂 I would love to be able to catch a pro game this summer in our free time too!

I would like for Westin to spend more time playing outside in the dirt and less time on the couch….

8. And if I have any spare time after doing all of the above mentioned items, I would like to master one of my favorite songs, Make You Feel My Love by Bob Dylan. Actually I would like to just spend about a half hour day playing anything on the piano. On a side note, the picture on the upper right side of my piano is one of me when I was three or four years old playing on this same piano. One of my favorite pictures of myself EVER.

Of course this is just a very small list of everything I would like to accomplish, but it’s a start. It doesn’t even include my day to day duties like cleaning the house, chauffeuring Westin, feeding the chickens, and cooking a hot meal every night. I am also going to help Jason a lot with the garden this year. I would love to have a big flower garden somewhere as well. And paint the trim on the house. And repaint the inside of the house. And get in really, really, really good shape. And spend time with my sister and mom and Grandma and fabulous In-Law’s. And install a picket fence around our front lawn. And do EVERYTHING on my DIY Pinterest Board. (check out my Pinterest boards here if your interested….) And take a couples retreat to Mexico with my husband. And take Westin camping A LOT. And visit my sister and Dad in Nevada. And my brother in Las Vegas. And my brother across town. And have a really successful yard sale. And plant pretty flowers in all my flower pots around the house. And, and, and…..

Obviously the list goes on and on and on and on……I guess I better get off the computer and GET TO WORK! 🙂
