Easy, Adorable, Affordable Neighbor Christmas Gift–Mary’s Homemade Granola Recipe! Plus some of my favorite Christmas nails all the way from Australia!

Like a lot of people, I try to give my darling neighbors a little something at Christmas time to show them how much I appreciate them. I honestly do not see or talk to my neighbors very often…just a quick wave from across the street while we check our mailboxes…but I adore them and am so grateful to have such amazing neighbors!

I started a little tradition a few years back and thought I would share it with you because it really is soooo easy! I promise!

My mom makes THE WORLD’S BEST GRANOLA! As a child, it was one of my very favorite breakfasts she would make for us (and she would almost ALWAYS make a hot breakfast every morning!) When I asked her for the recipe as I got older, I thought for sure it was going to take hours and be super difficult because it was so yummy…but turns out it is one of the easiest things I’ve ever made! And it only takes about 20 minutes to bake.

I make a super sized batch when I’m baking for my neighbors and after it’s cooled, I scoop it into Mason Jars and tie a pretty bow around the lid. I think I’ve included the recipe on an index card in years past as well or our family Christmas card (when I actually get around to doing Christmas cards…please tell me I’m not the only who doesn’t do a Christmas card every year???)

Sometimes I’ll also include a Foaming Handsoap from Bath and Body Works in a yummy Christmas scent…I know everyone loves getting pretty smelly soaps 🙂

I made my batch today with a mixture of avocado and coconut oils. I also added cinnamon and nutmeg for a festive flair!

Add your oats on top of the oil and seasoning...about an inch below the top of the dish :)

Drizzle honey on top of the oats...DO NOT STIR...I do about 1/2 a cup to a full cup of honey.

And here is the finished product! You could cut up cute pieces of thin Christmas fabric and twist under the bottle ring as well for some more decorations :)

This is a really great breakfast for Christmas or New Year’s morning–it’s quick and easy and yummy! By the way, it’s best hot out of the oven with cold milk! I hope you love it as much as me and my family do! 🙂

And because this is a nail blog here are some of my favorite Christmas nails from Instagram this week 🙂 They all come from Urban Bliss Beauty Therapy in Victoria, Australia. I have been following Urban Bliss on Facebook for years and I always get tons of great nail art inspiration from them…they are seriously so talented and stylish!
