My buddy is going on a sisters trip to New York City this weekend and I gotta admit I was really nervous about getting her nails just right! The Big Apple is a Big Deal! 🙂

I love what we came up with though…simple and chic…

We used CND Brisa Lite Smoothing Gel to add strength and then topped it off with 3-4 coats of Gelish Plum and Done. I hand painted the silver chevron stripes with CND Shellac Silver Chrome. I think it would have been super cute to do gray stripes too. Or a silver chevron French tip. It’s just so daunting trying to decide on the perfect look for a NYC getaway!

How would you wear your nails if you were going to New York, New York this weekend?

I would love to hear from you if you have used Brisa Lite Smoothing Gel too! I love it but a thin coat isn’t usually durable enough and if I do a thick coat it doesn’t self level very well so I end up filing smooth…and they can be kinda lumpy and gross if I don’t spend a lot of time smoothing them out…yada yada 🙂
