My friend Kendra is headed up to Pendelton, Oregon for the world’s largest party…I mean rodeo! I’m so excited for her! She is going with her dad which I think is so awesome 🙂 She texted me and wanted some cute nails for the rodeo…I think we came up with a great combo for the big weekend!
I hope Kendra doesn’t mind me showing everyone this…but she’s a little bit of a nail biter…so we sculpt out her nail beds with acrylic for length. I then do the colors with gel polish. It works out really well for her, as long as she doesn’t plan on throwing a rope around a steer any time soon. 🙂 Did I mention Kendra is a super awesome cowgirl??? 🙂
Here’s the before shot…
And here’s the after!
We used Gelish A Mint of Spring for the mint color, which is a beautiful turquoise mint! Here’s a link to buy it…
I did the chevron stripes with JetSet, I’m Brighter Than You, and A Mint of Spring over OPI Alpine Snow as the base. I freehanded them with a tiny striping brush, doing each stripe lightly one at a time and then going back over them with another coat filling in the streaky spots. We also did a coat of Gelish Waterfield over the mint nails. I love Waterfield for a silver glitter top coat!
I almost forgot…here’s a little cowgirl outfit I put together for the roundup 🙂
Here’s a link to check out the world’s largest rodeo, just in case you get a hankering to check it out someday!
Let me know if you have any questions or if you’ve ever been to the Pendleton Roundup…I’d love to hear about it! 🙂
