It’s time to fill up the gas tank and pump up the George Strait cause I’m heading to the country today! 🙂 Somehow my little sister Sarah talked me and my big sister Mandy into running the Lincoln County Fair Relay tomorrow…a 30 mile relay that starts in beautiful Eagle Valley, Nevada and ends somewhere in Panaca, Nevada. We did it a few years ago with a five person team and it was major fun but I was having a really hard time getting excited for it this year for some reason…it might have something to do with the fact that Sarah thought a three person team would be the way to go…and I have not done a lot of running lately…and my legs and feet are hurting more than usual…I’m not really sure why. 🙂
I think I was partly dreading it too because I was under the assumption we were going to be dragging our seven small children all around the county with us, starting bright and early at 6 AM Saturday morning. Sounds like a blast right? However, I decided to leave my little stud muffin home with dad for a fun filled boys night and Sarah’s kids are going to be with their dad and Mandy is trying to get Grandpa Rick and Grandma Loretta to take her kids for the night…so we might end up foot loose and kid free for the weekend! Which has never happened for the Panaca Prince sisters! Ever! Lincoln County won’t know what hit them! 🙂
Is it weird that one of the first things I thought of as my enthusiasm was growing was, “How are we going to do our nails for the relay???” 🙂
I kept asking my sisters and didn’t get an immediate response so I took this momentus task upon myself and decided to go with something cute and fun that would keep us motivated and inspired as we run along the dirt roads and trails in the “middle of nowhere” Nevada…something that the lizards and rattlesnakes and jack rabbits will enjoy too…and this is what I came up with! The pink is for me and my sisters, the blue is for the wide open skies of Lincoln County and the brown is for the dirt roads we will be pounding all day long. 🙂
This was my first ever tape mani…here’s a great video on how to get this look:
You have to wait till your base coat is COMPLETELY dry. Don’t skimp on the drying time or else you will end up having to start over and it’s a total hassle…other than that this was so easy and I love how it turned out! I used Creative Nail Design (CND) Vinylux in these colors:
Pink Bikini #134
Azure Wish #102
Faux Fur
I am sooooo excited to spend the weekend with my sisters who are my best friends in the whole world! They inspire me on a daily basis by their beauty and enthusiasm and dreams and goals! They are both amazing mothers and will forever be two of my favorite people. 🙂 I’ll keep you updated on our journey through Instagram tomorrow! 🙂
Thanks for reading! Happy Friday! Oh, and I have a really exciting post for Monday I can’t wait to show you!
