I am super, duper excited! In May, CND is releasing a new product called Shellac, a nail coating that has the ease of polish but the durability of gel. This product is going to revolutionize the nail industry, in my opinion. I love the natural, manicured nail style, but I absolutely DESPISE polish! Well, it’s more like a love-hate relationship, to be honest. I love the ease of polish, I love to change the color as often as one likes, I love the cost efficiency of polish, BUT I hate the drying time and the fact that most polishes only last for a few days, even with the best base and top coats. WELL, this is all going to change with Shellac. Shellac goes on like a polish, in fact it just looks like a bottle of polish, but when exposed to a UV light, it cures like a gel, so the company guarentees a beautiful, manicured nail for TWO WEEKS! The product is hitting shelves in May, and I fully intend to offer a Shellac Manicure as a service at Studio 359 as soon as possible. There will eventually be an increase in price for a Shellac manicure versus a regular manicure-possibly $30 for a Shellac mani versus $15 for the regular version. Possibly double the cost, however, Shellac will last at least twice as long as polish, if not longer, which I believe will make it worth the extra cost. I believe right now, CND is the only company offering this type of product, but I am sure it will not be too long before all major companies are releasing similar products, which may bring the cost down making it the most affordable, efficient, long lasting product on the market. Yeah! Oh, and I should include that I am equally as excited to use Shellac on all your digits-hands and feet! So come and see me for your Shellac mani or pedi in May! I will be running introductory specials!
I will post information as soon as I have this amazing new product to offer!

I am very excited about this product! Please send some feed back. Thank you.
Hi Theresa,
I love this product! I have had excellent results so far (about eight weeks +/-) On toes, Shellac will last an amazing six to eight weeks (although you would always want to remove it thoroughly after each application) and on hands I am seeing a good two weeks for most clients with some clients wearing it for up to five weeks. The only way it will come off is either picking it off or an acetone removal. I think the best thing about Shellac is the zero dry time. Come on in and try it!
