Two of my favorite bloggers teamed up and the result was so amazing I decided to recreate a very small “rendition” of it on my nails π I absolutely am obsessed with home decor and I actually get a lot of my nail ideas from decorating color schemes and finishes…I think it’s important to find inspiration from all aspects of life in everything that we do!
Mandi from Vintage Revivals did a total room makeover for Cara from Maskcara. Not just any room either…Cara’s makeup room/office where she films her videos and remakes beautiful women into drop dead gorgeous bombshells. Check it out…
I think my favorite thing about the room is the plumber’s pipe shelving. I found this picture from Pinterest and I want to do this in my living room as a homework desk for Westin…notice the plumbing pipe base for the table π
Ok! Enough about decorating houses and more about decorating nails! Here are my Vintage Revivals via MaskCara Industrial Vintage Glam nails!
Obviously I didn’t replicate the room precisely…that would look silly…but I used a few of the colors and then I loved the combination of the industrial shelving with the gorgeous crystal vintage chandelier. I love combining patterns, colors, and textures–it adds tons of depth and emotion in whatever situation you are creating.
Here are the colors and items used by nail:
Blue nails–Gelish After Dark gel polish with dark navy blue glitter. I did a coat of the blue, cured it, and then pressed the navy glitter into the sticky layer and then did another coat of the blue over the glitter. I like the effect it gave it…sort of a layered, subtle sparkle. Not in your face sparkly.
Ring Finger–2 coats Shellac Romantique with 1 coat Shellac Beau and 1 coat Gelish Golden Treasure. Before I cured Golden Treasure I hand placed large and small rhinestones, white pearls, and gold and grey studs. I cured it for two minutes and did three top coats over all the gems to keep them in place for at least a week…hopefully. I bought the rhinestones and pearls at Michaels and the studs at Sally’s and Dollar Nail Art.
Middle Finger–1 coat OPI Alpine Snow and 1 coat OPI Funny Bunny. I used Essie Good As Gold for the stamping. I bought my stamping plates on Amazon and cannot find the exact link but there are tons of fun plates on there that would look equally as cute!
I did a thick top coat over all the nails (extra on the gems) and cured for two minutes! I love love love them! They are going to look super cute at my neighbor’s Harvest Festival tomorrow! I wish I could wear this outfit to the party…
Once again thank you so much for checking out my site! I have a lot of plans coming up in the future and as always if you have any questions on recreating any looks let me know! I promise I will get back to you super quick!
Have a great weekend!
Tootles–Anna
