I would like to start off by saying that I have the best job in the world! As a matter of fact I decided to switch my BA in education to a BA in business because I love my job so much! I have worn many career hats over the years. In fact I am going to lust them just for S&G’s 🙂

1980’s: babysit neighbor kids, work with dad on handy man projects
1990’s: motel housekeeping at the Shady Motel in Caliente, NV; short stint as pianist at a restaurant in Pioche, NV (very fun!)
2000’s: Glacier Gay Lodge, Alaska-front desk and boat cleaner; sales girl at The Gap in Westport, CT (where I  almost married Topher Grace for a second…); nanny in Connecticut; waitress at Pizza Hut; busser/hostess at Chilli’s; waitress at Fairway Grill; sales person at Inckley’s photo shop; married owner of FG which included promotion to manager of FG :); realtor; store manager of Bath & Body Works; and finally, Nail Tech!

Good times to be had all along the way! I definitely learned many important lessons through all of these jobs, but the most important lesson of all is that I learned what a great job I have now! So how does all of this tie in with pampering myself???? Well, I have been super busy lately and my nails have suffered so last night after the amazing Sarah Scott was polished up and off to her ball I thought, “I’m going to do my nails finally….I hope this is a good idea….”

Well turns out it was a great idea and I love the finished result. I’ve been wanting to do orange on myself for a while now being that it’s THE color of the moment but I chickened out and went with a layered orange look. Two coats Cajun Shrimp topped with one coat Pompeii Purple. It’s done with the amazing GelColor by OPI so it will last me a solid two weeks and a shaky 5-6 (that’s how often I usually get around to doing my own nails unfortunately….)
