I can’t believe it has taken me so long to post this fun mani I did on Ashley’s beautiful nails! I kept thinking I was going to Photoshop the pictures….but I just finally gave up on that thought and decided to edit them in iPhoto instead…I promise I will make your hands PERFECT one day Ashley! Even though they are perfect already…well maybe if it weren’t for Crossfit they would be a little more perfect 🙂
I wanted to do a spring mani and I wanted to keep it simple but I just never can seem to keep it simple when I start painting Ashley’s nails. What’s my problem!?!
I love how they turned out, but if I had to do it all over again, I would have used a creamy yellow…I think Orly has a pretty one. Or even a cheap one from the drugstore. The only place to buy Orly in St. George is at Sally’s and I NEVER go out to the Factory Stores. I always buy my polishes at Cosmoprof or Salon Centric because it is so convenient for me. St. George is not a big town but anything outside my two mile travel radius is saved for special occasions….I know I’m lame 🙂
I really want to do a rose tutorial video soon….it is such a simple nail art technique but helps to see it live. I am going to be launching videos on my site soon!!! That is my next goal for my Free Time List! 🙂
I used two coats each of Got a Date To-Knight, a pretty pastel pink, and Need Sunglasses?, a bright yellow. I used Which is Witch, a super fun sparkle from the Oz Collection, as an ombre fade on two nails as well. I used my favorite studs from Sally’s for the middle finger. Lovely right!?1 Here are some close up pics…
I always think of a million things I wish I had done differently after I finish painting nails. It drives me crazy! I usually sketch Ashely’s out the night before too so that I am not trying to figure out what to do as I go and keep her too long. Such is life! 🙂 I would just like to thank Ashely and let her know how much I appreciate her letting me use her nails 🙂 I LOVE hanging out with her and think she is the bomb! Westin had soooo much fun playing with her girls…cause they are the cutest girls ever! 🙂
Here are a few super random thoughts on blogging and social media….
Ok, so I’ve had my website up for a few years now. I don’t really know for sure if anyone really looks at it thoroughly, which is fine. But ever since I’ve quit working at the salon, I’ve been, shall I say, “promoting” my website as much as I comfortably can….and it’s REALLY uncomfortable for me! I love writing, which is good, but I feel like I am asking people to read my journal when I ask them to check out my website. It’s a very strange feeling. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining, I’m just explaining myself. Even though most of my close friends will probably never read this, I want to apologize for being so annoying on Facebook and Instagram and Pinterest with all my incessant posts! I am so, so, so, so sorry you are bombarded my nail pics all day long! Social Media is CRAZY can I just say that?!?!? It is the most amazing advertising tool EVER but I am seriously SICK of my phone! I love my phone actually—she’s a beautiful iPhone 5 and does everything she needs to–I feel bad for talking trash about her. But it’s a vicious beast this Social Media! A vicious, necessary, amazing beast that I am very grateful for…kind of 🙂 Okay, that will be the end of my random thoughts tonight. Thanks for reading! I have a ton of nail pics to post! I would like to just say that I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Essie Resort Collection with all my heart! Can’t wait to show you why!
