Caribbean Toes

I want to sink my toes into a tropical, white sand beach so bad it hurts! In case you can’t tell, I am in love with the turquoise blue waters of the tropics. My husband and I went to the Riviera Maya about five years ago–specifically a little town called Akumal–and I have been dreaming of going back ever since. Although I would be ecstatic to return to Akumal, there are hundreds of destinations I want to experience! St. John’s, USVI (my brother and his wife are leaving for St. John’s tonight! So excited for them!), the Florida Keys, St. Lucia, Cozumel, the Maldives, Tahiti, Fiji, the reef system of Indonesia–the list goes on and on. In fact, I’ve often wondered if it would be possible and what it would be like to possibly test the waters, literally, and move to one of these destinations–most likely a U.S. territory. I know my son would be thrilled to live so close to the ocean! I sometimes wonder if he is Jacques Cousteau reincarnated. He’ll be four next month, but I swear he knows more about fish and marine life than most adults will know in their lifetime!

So where is this obsession going? Well, until we make it to our tropical destination, I decided to recreate the turquoise blue water on my toes! And I absolutely LOVE them! I combined three different colors of glitter–lime green, turquoise, and blueberry slush–with my Acryhard gel as a base, builder, and top coat so they are super strong and last at least a good six weeks. I am going to add a hibiscus decal today in order to truly establish the tropical look. I can’t wait till I can sink my Caribbean toes in the powdery white sand I’ve been dreaming about!

Also, just to let you know, I am running a great promotion! $5 off any $20 purchase and $10 off any purchase of $30 or more! Spread the word and come see me soon at my new location, Studio 359, located in beautiful Downtown St. George! We are conveniently located on the north corner of 100 East and the St. George Boulevard. See ya soon!

Hey…the hibiscus will look terrific on those carribean toes! I don’t even think about those kinds of things. Maybe why I never got interested in downhill skiing, I just knew I would never do it.
Although, my first trip to Hawaii…was just like what you described, being in paradise!
I really want to go visit Diane..ASAP!!!! I may have to drag, I don’t mind but she will resist, I know, Mom along. Roxie too…of course!
I can’t wait to come get a change to my beautiful red toes and my, ummm, not so beautiful nails.
