Operation Valentines Day–Part 4 and a prego selfie to boot!

TGIF! Woohoo! Just a quick view of some ADORABLE V-Day nails I did yesterday for my gorgeous friend April. Isn’t she the ultimate babe!

She is beautiful inside and out!

She usually doesn’t do anything too busy on her nails which I totally understand–I personally like just one or two designs most of the time–but this time she wanted to go all out…kind of. Ha ha. They are similar to what I did on Nicole but we changed it up a bit…let me know what you think!

I used Gelish Pink Smoothie, Hot Rod Red, and June Bride as well as OPI Alpine Snow and Pink Flamenco.

For the bow I used EZ Flow Bubblegum acrylic...I think I would add a little bit of white acrylic to it next time to make it more opaque.

I used pretty much the same colors on April that I used on Nicole. I did the kiss lips on April’s thumb with my Shany stamping plates and an old bottle of OPI Pink Flamenco nail polish. I’ve found that in order to get a really good transfer the nail polish needs to be kinda thick for stamping so older polishes can work better.

April’s an amazing hair stylist so her hands are in water and color all day long. I really hope the acrylic bows stay on for at least a couple weeks! We had such a good visit yesterday…I seriously love talking to her. She is so much fun and so wise and such a good person. At least I think so anyway! 🙂

Pregnant Ramblings...

And to top it all off I decided to post a pregnant selfie! I wasn’t sure if you were all aware of my “condition”…I’m 26 weeks today and pretty much ready to be done being pregnant!

At least my bathroom is clean!

I’m not exactly ready for a little newborn though…I still have tons of stuff to buy including diapers. I think I am going to try cloth diapers out this time around. I’ve heard really good things about them from my friend Ruth. I also need to get my house organized before a little baby moves in. Our house is tiny–about 1300 square feet, 2 beds, 2 baths. I am not at all complaining because I LOVE my house and am so grateful for it. My boys will be sharing a room so I need to go through all of Westin’s “treasures” to make room for all the baby gear. I think I’m going to try to keep the baby in a Pac’n’Play for the first year or so…I love how the newer ones have a bassinet and changing table and then as the baby grows he will move down to the lower bassinet and then down to the bottom of the pit. I just don’t think we will have room right now for a crib and a bed. Plus I want to get a nice comfy chair for feeding…so I’ve got a lot to fit in a little room. Which is great and it’ll all work out! Thanks to Pinterest! 🙂

I’ve been feeling really good except for a few aches and pains here and there. I’ve been working out 4-5 days a week alternating between Crossfit Moms and walking/hiking. I try my hardest to eat healthy…but that doesn’t always pan out perfectly. Lately I haven’t been able to eat as much because the baby is growing so much and my stomach is running out of room. I’m afraid my weight gain is going to be up around the 40+ pound mark though (mostly in my boobs!) and that’s ok. I think I gained over 50 with Westin and managed to lose most of it after a couple years. I just don’t want to stress about the weight gain too much. I’ve mostly been trying to stay in shape for the labor, delivery, and recovery aspect. Having a baby is the hardest workout a woman will ever go through, as I discovered through my first experience. I didn’t exercise regularly the first time around and although I’m not convinced it will make labor easier or shorter, I know I will be able to handle the duration and endurance aspect better if I keep my body and lungs conditioned. My doctor promised me this one won’t be as hard as my first so I’m holding him to it. Lol.

Let me know if you have any questions about the nails or being pregnant! 🙂

Thank you so much for reading and have a wonderful weekend!♥♥♥
