My new waterless manicure!

I also wanted to write and let everyone know that I am switching my manicure routine to a waterless procedure. Why would we soak our hands in water for a pampering treatment when water is one of the hardest substances on our skin? My new manicure actually begins at the sink with a cleansing wash followed by a sugar scrub. You will then return to my table for a quick hand sanitation, after which we will rub an illuminating mask onto your hands and cuticle cream on your fingers. I …

Six weeks of Shellac on the incredible Linda M.

I got to see and visit with one of my favorite people today while she got her feet pampered with a pedicure. This favorite person of mine is the one and only Linda M. She is married to another favorite person of mine, Scott M. Scott has yet to get his feet pampered with a pedicure though. 🙂

Linda came in six weeks ago for a pedicure and she was my first customer to try Shellac on her toes. So I was totally surprised and excited to see her Shellac …

A few more stories about my amazing clients!

It was another great Saturday at Studio 359! I was busy early, which was nice because it allowed me to take the evening off and spend it with my family. But it was a great morning at the salon visiting with my clients!

The day started off with two pampering pedicures for the Keller girls from Idaho. They were super fun chatting with and getting to know! I believe the older girls’ name was Kendra and she actually works in Washington D.C. for the Farm Bureau as a lobbyist. She majored …

Why I have the best job in the world…..

I know I’ve said this before, but I really do have the best job in the world. This has a lot to do with working in such a great industry and making women’s hands and feet beautiful, but more so it involves meeting pretty much the MOST amazing people on a daily basis. I have met people from all over the world and all walks of life, and I LOVE it. Although all of my clients are amazing, my amazing person of the day today was Shelly from Sacramento. Shelly …

One of the many reasons I LOVE my job…

It was a very busy day at Studio 359 yesterday! Not only was I booked almost entirely from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm but I was also taking photographs for my friend Whitney’s brother’s wedding reception last night. Needless to say I was exhausted by the end of the day! However, exhaustion aside, it was a fabulous day! One highlight of my day was meeting Leslie from Australia and visiting with her for an hour while she received an acylic fill. She lives in Perth and has been visiting the …

I LOVE Shellac!

Here is a pic of my very own set of Shellac nails! The color is Tutti Frutti, my personal favorite so far, but I love all of them! Negligee actually seems to be the most popular so far–it’s a beautiful sheer neutral pink color. Everyone that has tried Shellac has been extremely pleased so far. I did a set on Saturday for a lady who had booked an appointment for gel nails, but after talking with her, we decided to do a combination of my Acryhard gel and Shellac. She …

Shellac by Creative Nail Design-The product I have been waiting for!

I am super, duper excited! In May, CND is releasing a new product called Shellac, a nail coating that has the ease of polish but the durability of gel. This product is going to revolutionize the nail industry, in my opinion. I love the natural, manicured nail style, but I absolutely DESPISE polish! Well, it’s more like a love-hate relationship, to be honest. I love the ease of polish, I love to change the color as often as one likes, I love the cost efficiency of polish, BUT I hate …

Caribbean Toes

I want to sink my toes into a tropical, white sand beach so bad it hurts! In case you can’t tell, I am in love with the turquoise blue waters of the tropics. My husband and I went to the Riviera Maya about five years ago–specifically a little town called Akumal–and I have been dreaming of going back ever since. Although I would be ecstatic to return to Akumal, there are hundreds of destinations I want to experience! St. John’s, USVI (my brother and his wife are leaving for St. …

I’m taking votes on what scent of pedi to do!

I can’t decide what pedi to run through the summer. Please help me with this very difficult decision! It’s a choice between the following:
Chocolate Mint
Eucalyptus Ice
Orange Ice
Lavender Mint

I think I am going to buy a Coconut Papaya pedi kit for summer, but it doesn’t come with the mask that I like to do for our deluxe pedicure. It sure smells great though! I am going to run a Cinnamon Pumpkin Spice pedicure for the fall that I am sooooo excited about! And it’s not even summer time yet….oh boy. Please …
